After academics, the next most important factors in admissions decisions are character traits and the college essay (the ideal place to demonstrate character traits and values). This data, based on a survey by the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), indicates just how important the essay is in the college process. I’ve been on 30 college campuses so far in 2025, and every school with holistic review agree that the essay is the key glimpse into what an applicant might add to their campus community beyond the classroom.

This package covers the Common App Personal Statement (AKA “college essay”) from start to finish with education & coaching that takes students from a blank page to a polished effective personal statement with an unlimited number of revisions until student and consultant agree it is done. Includes 2 one-hour private sessions with Aletta, asynchronous professional review time, and a final proofread.

Supplemental essays (e.g., Why this college? Why this major? UGA’s book that made an impact) fill a slightly different, but equally important role in the process, and can be added on to the Essay Package starting at a minimal fee of $200.
